One year goes by quickly and most fellows have hardly arrived before they are thinking of where they will go next. It will hopefully be a relief to know that graduates of our program have historically been competitive for any Hospice and Palliative Medicine job anywhere in the country.
Supported by the resources of a major academic medical center, we are able to provide excellent preparation for a career in academia – the path chosen by the majority of our alumni. We also pride ourselves on a clinically rigorous program, and those graduates who chose careers outside of academia report that they feel outstandingly well-prepared.
For examples of what our fellowship has enabled some of our graduates to accomplish in their early careers, take a look at these graduate profiles.
For a big picture view of where our graduates end up and what they do with their time, see these program graduate data.
Whatever your career goals in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, UCSF’s program is geared to help you meet them.
