Dr. Ullal's academic interests include clinical outcomes and health services research focused safety and adverse events related to inpatient medication exposure. His current projects focus on outcomes among adult inpatients who receive gabapentin, a widely prescribed medication. In his clinical time, he teaches on the Moffit-Long Wards service and functions as a direct care hospitalist on the Goldman Medicine Service, Mount Zion Hospitalist Service, and Mission Bay Consulting and Hospitalist Services. He also serves in clinical roles providing peri-operative medicine consults for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery services.
